God is Omnipresent

God is present everywhere. He transcends the physical world.

Psalm 139:7-10

Jeremiah 23:23-25

1. God does not have a physical body.

2. God is not contained by the physical world.

1 Kings 8:27

Terms such as big, large, and massive, expressions of volume or mass, do not apply to God because he transcends physicality.

3. God is fully present in all of his being, everywhere. God is simple. He cannot be divided into parts.

4. God is transcendent, distinct from his creation. Therefore, omnipresence does not equate with pantheism (everything is God) or panentheism (the world is part of God). Creation and God are not one.

5. A theophany is a visible manifestation of God, such as the burning bush of Exodus 3. Theophany is not a contradiction of God’s omnipresence. God is always fully present everywhere.
